Merry Oaks Bees is a family-owned apiary in South Central Texas. We make our home on the Red Bluff banks of the Navidad River. We call our place Merry Oaks, a name given to this homestead by our forebears over 70 years ago. The river bottom is full of native plants and animals, not the least of which are glorious old oak trees; hence the name Merry Oaks!
Kathy Anderson is our Lead Beekeeper, but her dad and mom, Donald and Ruth Anderson, are also part of the team. Plus, Merry Oaks’ trusted Labrador Retrievers help keep us on our toes (though they don’t do much with the bees)!
