We will come get your bees!

Many times throughout the year (especially during springtime), bees will swarm. Simply put, a colony of bees gets too big for its current location, so half of them leave in search of a new home. While they are looking for a new location, they will rest somewhere convenient to them – though maybe not to you! A tree branch, a park bench, the side of your house, you name it. This is temporary; they will leave. Please do not kill them! If you need them to go away sooner than they would like, please call us; we will come get them for you.

Sometimes, the home they find will be yours! Bees love dark, enclosed places like water meter boxes, hollow trees, the eaves of roofs, even the walls of homes. Again, if you discover that bees have taken up residence in a place that is not convenient to you, please do not kill them. Contact us, and we will do our best to help you. We serve the South and Central Texas area – from Victoria to Corpus Christi to San Antonio and the Hill Country. All bees that we retrieve will be re-homed and incorporated into our apiary.

We offer a free, solid, accurate estimate for the services we expect to perform. If you have a simple swarm on a tree, there will usually just be a nominal fee – usually just to cover gas, time, and travel. If you have bees in a more difficult place, we will offer you a quote for what we expect the job to cost (including length of time, what we plan to do, and what we will charge). And, we know our limits; we won’t commit to something we don’t think we can accomplish. If that is the case, we will gladly refer you to one of our beekeeper colleagues. As you consider what beekeeper you want to contact, here are some helpful things to remember.
